Anglers planning a 2027 Toyota Series campaign need to revisit the format as well as their travel calendar. MLF's September 16 announcement replaces the earlier five-division plan with four geographic divisions, each holding four three-day tournaments, and introduces solo competition.
Each geographic division divides its schedule evenly between events allowing forward-facing and 360-degree sonar and events without those technologies. A Wild Card route lets competitors combine four or more tournaments from at least two geographic divisions, with their best four finishes counting toward qualification.
The practical difference is flexibility: anglers can consider a conventional divisional season or assemble a route around the permitted electronics and locations they prefer. Registration opens October 21, with an October 19 early window for qualifying Phoenix owners.
